Lee Fidler

Biography

Lee Fidler is a watercolour artist who was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Her interest in art began at an early age and was self-taught through trial and error over the early years of learning. Her professional career in art began in 1978. The soft and peaceful florals that are created in fine detail often include the birds that visit her backyard feeders and garden. These elegant florals and birds and endearing pet portraits depict her signature style. During her career, Lee has exhibited in several group and one-man shows and has been a long time, established member of Artisans Northwest.

Through her years of artistic development, that includes studying with numerous esteemed international artists, Lee is able to bring the knowledge, techniques, skill and passion not only to her own work, but also to inspire the students she has taught for the past several years. She has had work published in "Watercolor without Boundaries" by renowned American artist/author and instructor Karlyn Holman.

Recently, Lee has returned to her roots as an artist, and enjoys creating fine graphite drawings, often combining them with coloured pencil as a new and exciting medium. Over the years, Lee has developed a style that appeals to those who seek the calm and serenity her paintings have to offer.
